The wish of our clients, a family of three generations, was a journey through the history and culture of Mexico – for the whole family.
What could be better than traveling to foreign countries and cultures with your family and sharing new experiences together. The journey took them to Mexico City, built on the remains of a long gone culture, the impressive capital of the Aztecs Tenochtitlán. Always at their side were locals who immersed them in a civilization full of turbulent history and lived culture. They strolled through the food markets of Oaxaca, the food metropolis of Mexico. They traveled across Yucatan, swam in cenotes, visited an art museum in the middle of the jungle, the Azulik Uh May and climbed millennium old pyramids. In Mérida, Mario Canul welcomed them at his cooking school, where the whole family cooked together in the kitchen, laughing and fooling around. Then, arriving at their hideaway, the Hotel Escencia, they later reported, they’ve realized one thing: how much they were living as a family just in the here and now – a feeling of deep connection and happiness.
